In April 1782 negotiations began with the British and Americans in Great Britain. Richard Oswarld represented Britain in the negotiations, the peace commissioners for the United States were John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and John Jay. Later on in the negotiations another peace commissioner for the United States came in which was Henry Laurens. Some of the things the Americans wanted from the treaty was fishing rights in America, removal of all British troops, and the settlement of boundaries in America.
Both sides came together and began negotiations on April 1782. There would be lots of meetings with all sides to try and get a compromise. France, Spain, and America began peace talks with Britain on September 3, 1783. For the other countries like France negotiations began and were finished by November 20, 1783 and sent it to Britian. It was confirmed in Paris on April 9, 1784, makeing confirmed peace for France on May 12, 1784. It didn't take as long for the Americans and British to have peace.
The Preliminary articles of the Treaty of Paris were signed on November 30, 1782. It was signed by Benjamin Franklin, John Jay, John Adams, Henry Laurens, and Richard Oswarld. Though Henry Laurens wasn't in the negotiations before November 28, 1782 because he was in America. When he got there he signed the preliminary articles just two days later on November 30th. The preliminary articles did include what the Colonists wanted, and it did make sense for both sides so it was signed.
After lots of work they finally finished the Treaty of Paris on September 3, 1783 which formally ended the Revolutionary War. It was then sent to Congress to be approved, it was approved by congress on January 14, 1784. Both sides agreed and it ended the war. America did receive fishing rights, and removal of the British soldiers. They would also get more land for America extending to the Mississippi River.

In my opinion the Treaty of Paris was a great thing because it ended the the Revolutionary War. It helped Colonial America receive freedom it deserved. Though America got more land they didn't use it tell a few years in the future, but I don't know why they didn't use it sooner. Some British soldiers stayed in America and would harm the people, so I don't know why Britain didn't force their soldiers to come back to Britain. Because of this and sense the Treaty didn't have a long term peace, a few years later it caused the war of 1812.
