Are you aware of our founding fathers? Our founding fathers are a very important part of what helped became what America is. James Madison was one of these founding fathers. James Madison had multiple siblings. He also helped with the Constitution of America and the rough draft of The Bill Of Rights. James Madison's earlier life, he helped with many constitutional acts, and what lead him to being the 4th president.
James Madison was born March 16th, 1751 in Port Conway Virginia. He had eleven siblings, he was the oldest of twelve kids.His name was James Madison Jr. because his father's name was James Madison. His father owned 3000 plus acres of land. His father also owned a few dozen of slaves. 1762 James Madison was sent to a boarding school. The man that owned the boarding school was named Donald Robertson. His father sent him home five years later for private tutoring. Later he went to College of New Jersey in 1769 and graduated 1771.
James Madison has been called "Father of the constitution" because he had many ideas for the constitution. He had thought of having three branches of government: executive, legislative, and judicial branches. He also thought that their should be balances and checks for this new system. This idea was so that the possibility for the groups to want more power. Some of James Madison's ideas were used in the constitution and government.
James Madison eventually became the fourth US president, but what lead him to this great role? James Madison was Thomas Jefferson's, the third president, secretary. He helped the president with many things, one item of business was said to be that James Madison oversaw the Louisiana purchase. Latter he ran for president and beat Charles C. Pinckney and Republican George Clinton by 70% of votes.
There was a war later when James Madison was president, the British invaded Maryland. They had called the war the Controversial War of 1812 (1812-15). James Madison eventually retired after two terms as president. He retired and went to live with his wife Dolley in Virginia. I think that James Madison was a good man. James Madison, to me, had some very good ideas. I really like the constitution so if what I found is correct then I think that he was a smart and wise person. I think he was a good president but then again I didn't live in that time period to know. James Madison did some good for our country and I think he is a decent man.
