The start of the Sugar Act
After the stamp act was created the British Government started to be greedy. They wanted more money for more security. For this reason the colonies were forced to sell their goods. The security was expensive to fight the Native Americans. The reason why they were fighting them because they were becoming unbearable.

The Sugar Act boycott
Some of the colonies started to boycott, or in other words they stopped buying British goods. The boycotts grew and spread through out the colonies.
The colonist thought the government might lower the prices. The colonies became more united because they were rebelling against the Sugar Act and this was the beginning. Instead of the government lowering the tax they raised it.

The Sugar Act was a very difficult time for the colonist not only are they losing there money, but some their freedom. I can imagine how the colonist felt. They came to this country to be free. The Sugar Act was a good and a bad thing. Thanks to that we have the country we have today. It was not great for the colonist but it is great for use now.
